- First, grease and line a round 6" baking tin with baking paper. Then preheat oven to 170 °c for 10 minutes.
- Take a deep bowl and add warm melted chocolate to it. Add curd, vanilla, cooking oil to melted chocolate and whisk well.
- Then sieve all the dry ingredients and slowly add to the wet ingredients in small batches. Use rubber spatula and cut and fold method. Add milk in between to adjust the consistency. Pour in tin. Tap 2 to 3 times. Bake for 30 minutes or till a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
- Cool the cake completely. Remove from the tin. Remove baking paer.Place on a cake board with a little jam applied at base to fix the cake in place. Refrigerate for 10 minutes. Till then prepare frosting:-Pour warmed cream on melted dark chocolate and whisk well. When it's cooled, keep in refrigerator for 10 minutes.
- Take out cake. slice in layers. Brush base layer with sugar syrup. Apply chocolate frosting on the top. Then apply 1 tsp strawberry crush and add chopped fresh strawberries. Then place second layer of cake on top. Repeat same for second layer. Place top layer. Apply frosting. Refrigerate for 15 minutes. Then mix remaining tablespoon strawberry crush in whipped cream. Fill in piping bag. Also fill plain whipped cream in second piping bag. Now, pipe out stars or flowers of pink and white cream.
- Garnish with drops of strawberry jam and enjoy delicious Dark chocolate cake!
